Teller Supervisor - Valley Mills Drive Branch
Responsible for overall balancing, internal controls, teller operations and ATM operations. Ensures prompt and efficient service to the membership by training and assisting staff to provide quality “personal service”. Ensures that the established security procedures are followed. Develops and implements department goals, strategies and objectives. Responsible for maintaining an environment conducive to employee achievement and satisfaction. Maintains a working knowledge of all services and operations of the credit union. Responsible for teller staff promoting and cross-selling credit union’s products and services and assisting the Branch Manager with the implementation of promotions.
- Develop, implement and monitor cash department goals, objectives and strategies through a logical course of establishing reviewing and budgeting resources to meet the credit union’s needs and assure quality service objectives. Communicate goals and objectives to staff. Prepare daily, weekly, monthly reports and communicate progress to staff.
- Establish, implement and maintain the credit union’s policies and procedures. Update forms to assure compliance with applicable State and Federal laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement a department-staffing plan. Identify staffing needs, schedule, and measure staff performance. Review job functions to ensure maximum efficiency, monitor overtime hours, minimize turnover, and recommend staffing changes as necessary.
- Provide timely evaluations of staff by conducting evaluations, revising job descriptions as necessary, establishing and clearly communicating performance goals, evaluating performance and taking disciplinary action when appropriate.
- Establish an appropriate development plan for each employee by identifying department goals, identifying individual strengths and areas for improvement, assuring ongoing education and staff training, and measuring the effectiveness of the department training programs.
- Determine the training needs of the department, researching and using available training resources, providing staff training, and measuring training results. Measure performance to objectives and provide feedback.
- Provide information, in person or by phone, concerning credit union services or policy.
- Attain and maintain knowledge of all credit union services to support cross selling to all members.
- Maintain member privacy.
- Maintain and manage cash levels for varying times of the year.
- Crosstrain staff to ensure proper departmental coverage and knowledge.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of three years in financial institution experience in Teller, Vault, Cash Operations and Customer Service. Must have demonstrated the ability and willingness to successfully sell. Two years supervisory/management experience and two years of college preferred.
- Providing a broad range of administrative lending support duties.
- Verifying the completeness and accuracy of loan applications, notes and related documentation.
- Ensuring compliance with legal requirements, lending regulations and internal policies and procedures.
- Filing and pulling loan folders.
- Preparing loans for Loan Officers.
- Maintaining Credit Committee, Loan Officer and Board loan minutes.
- Responsible for Adverse Action compliance and mailing.
- Scanning, filing, and retrieving documents as needed and ensure system is well organized.
- Previous administrative experience and High school diploma or equivalent required.
